Mary Carey Nude Wins "Election" On Gameshow Network

LOS ANGELES - The universe may very well be one step closer to extinction, as more than one viewer of CNN's coverage of California's recall election suggested last night as Arnold Schwarzenegger became the governor-elect of California, but that's not going to ruin Mary Carey's mood after she won $21,200 on the Gameshow Networks Who Wants to be Governor of California? The Debating Game last - and surpassed her goal of 1000 votes handily. With 98 percent of precincts reporting, Carey was in tenth place in the polls with a total of 9,716 votes.
Carey, who ironically opposed the recall election, placed first in a field of six contestants chosen by the Gameshow Network to participate in their game show, that culminated with the general public voting on three finalists via online "ballot."
$21,200 is the maximum allowable corporate campaign contribution under California state law. Carey was presented an oversized check in a live telecast tonight, with online voting for Who Wants to be Governor of California? closing at 8p.m. - the same time that the real polls closed.
Carey beat out Nate Walton, son of basketball great Bill Walton, and the geeky yet likeable Bryan Quinn in the finals.
The other contestants were: former child star/ current freak of society Gary Coleman, performance artist Trek Thunder Kelly, the curmudgeonly senior citizen Carl Mehr; All real gubernatorial candidates, albeit candidates without a chance of winning the real election.
After being presented with her check, Carey gave a speech in which she made a case for the adult industry as a whole, appealing to the American public to call upon President Bush and John Aschroft to end their recently launched battle against adult entertainment.
Carey also extended her congratulations to Arnold Schwarzenengger, who was already being reported as the winner of the recall election at 8:45p.m. when Carey gave her concession speech. "Arnold, if you ever need advice on the state of California or want to grope another girl, call me," Carey said.
