Our top story tonight is one for the stupid criminals file. A misplaced phone call, resulting in a drug bust.
Police say someone in a Palm Springs home meant to dial 411, instead she dialed 911 and hung up. When police came to this house to make sure everything was OK, they found much more than they bargained
Police say someone in a Palm Springs home meant to dial 411, instead she dialed 911 and hung up. When police came to this house to make sure everything was OK, they found much more than they bargained
Police found 76 marijuana plants inside this home. They say the owner of the house did have a prescription and now they are investigating how legitimate that prescription is.
Police say many of the plants were about 3 and a half feet high, and police say the estimated street value is about 76-thousand dollars.
Police also found other drug paraphernalia including pipes, smoked meth, pain killers, and a small amount of heroin all of that was confiscated earlier today. Police say they found illegal weapons including num-chucks illegal knives and loaded guns.
Two men are going to jail tonight, the man who lived in the home and grew marijuana and a male friend who was a parolee. Police say even though he had a prescription they are investigating because they believe he had intentions to sell the drugs.
