Rick Solomon Offers to Drop Hilton Lawsuit in Exchange for Sex Tape Rights
Published: Feb 01, 2004 - 09:32 AM
Paris Hilton's sex tape co-star Rick Solomon has reportedly offered to drop his $10 million lawsuit against her family - in exchange for the distribution rights to the controversial video. Solomon - the husband of former Charmed star Shannen Doherty - made the offer on January 15 according to court papers obtained by website thesmokinggun.com, to the disgust of the Hilton family's lawyers.
A fight broke out after the Hilton family accused Solomon of being responsible for leaking the tape on the internet, in which the former couple are seen having sex. Solomon has denied any responsibility but has now asked to be allowed to sell the tape via pay-per-view, if he drops the case.
But Hilton lawyer Heather McCloskey has branded the move "beneath contempt," according to pagesix.com.
