DAYTON, Ohio A former high school track coach has pleaded no contest to 55 charges that he took nude photographs of 10 teenage girls he coached. Damian Patrick Barker, 37, of suburban Trotwood, was convicted Friday of 11 counts of sexual battery and 44 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented performance.
Prosecutors said the maximum prison term would be 342 years if sentences for each charge were served consecutively.
Barker has coached track locally at Jefferson High School, Chaminade-Julienne and a track club.
Judge Barbara P. Gorman of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court immediately revoked Barker's $100,000 bond and ordered him taken into custody until she sentences him July 2.
Barker was arrested in January 2003 after a man complained he took nude photos of his daughter in 2001.
Assistant county prosecutor Julie Bruns said police recovered still photographs and videotapes of 10 girls between 13 and 17 years old.
Police have said they thought most of the girls were unaware that they were being photographed or videotaped.
Barker coached the 10 girls at the two high schools and track clubs between 1992 and 2003, Bruns said.
