A Middlesex Township police officer said a drunk woman who crashed her car into a parked tractor-trailer at a truck stop offered to have sex with him if she could avoid being charged and rushed at him when he refused. Patrolman Andrew Wolfe said another officer helped subdue Debra McCorkel, 48, of Silver Spring.
McCorkel, who said she takes medication for bipolar disorder, said she didn't recall being violent. "I don't mean to call the officer a liar, but I do not remember saying any of those things to him," she said.
Wolfe said he was called to a traffic accident shortly before midnight Saturday in a truck stop parking lot on Harrisburg Pike and found McCorkel sitting in her car, which had collided with a parked truck.
Wolfe said that she smelled of alcohol, her speech was slurred, and he had to help her walk to his patrol car.
McCorkel was charged with drunken driving, aggravated assault by a prisoner, criminal attempt and four counts of disorderly conduct, and was freed after posting $25,000 bail.
