PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- This evening, during one of the year's most exciting live television events, a star-studded panel of judges chose Tami Nichole Farrell, Miss Oregon Teen USA, as MISS TEEN USA? 2003.
The 18-year-old delegate from Phoenix, OR, Farrell, was crowned at the conclusion of the live telecast on the NBC Television Network from beautiful Palm Springs, California.
The telecast was hosted by actor and television star Mario Lopez, and Brooke Burns, of NBC'S Dog Eat Dog. During the telecast, platinum-certified pop, R&B and gospel-infused artist, Jessica Simpson provided a special performance of her song "The Sweetest Sin," a new single off her latest album, while famed American Idol finalist/"From Justin to Kelly" actor, Justin Guarini, performed "Sorry," a single from his R&B debut album Justin.
The telecast panel was comprised of recording artist Nick Lachey, Kyle Brandt, of NBC's "Days of Our Lives" and MTV'S, "The Real World, Chicago," Brittany Snow, NBC's "American Dreams," Betsy Rogers, 53rd National Teacher of the Year, Cobi Jones, a founding member of Major League Soccer, Victoria's Secret model Tricia Helfer, Derek Parra, 2002 Olympic Gold Medalist, and Vanessa Minnillo, Miss Teen USA 1998.
Throughout the two-hour event, the delegates competed in three categories, including swimsuit, evening gown and interview.
Final Results:
First Runner Up: Alicia Selby, Miss Tennessee Teen USA 2003, will
assume the duties of MISS TEEN USA 2003 if the
titleholder for some reason cannot fulfill her
responsibilities.
Second Runner Up: Alicia Jaros, Miss Michigan Teen USA 2003
Third Runner Up: Jacqueline Bruno, Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2003
Fourth Runner Up: Jacklyn Pezzotta, Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2003
