WBRE-TV news photographer Jeff Holloway is in jail, charged with collecting child pornography on his home computer. The 29-year-old photographer was taken into custody at the station, questioned by state police, and arraigned Tuesday afternoon on 49 counts. He is being held on 10-thousand dollars bail. Holloway also is charged with taking nude photographs of a 14-year-old female acquaintance.
State police computer crime investigators investigated Holloway for almost three months.
He says he is innocent. He will have a preliminary hearing next week.
WBRE-TV Vice President and General Manager Larry Herbster has issued a statement saying Holloway has been suspended by the station, and WBRE will cooperate in any investigation into the case in any way possible.
Halloway was assigned to the Williamsport Bureau until last year, when he was re-assigned to the Wilkes-Barre office.
