BOSTON -- Six months after students at Harvard University launched H-Bomb magazine, a Boston University student plans to launch her own sex magazine. NewsCenter 5's Kelley Tuthill reported Wednesday that Alecia Oleyourrik said she was approached by photographer Christopher Anderson to start a magazine called Boink.
It's meant to stimulate people, turn people on. The photos and the articles should do just that," Oleyourik said. "I think many of problems college students face -- STDs and pregnancy -- are tied to ignorance. If people aren't willing to talk about it, people will remain ignorant."

Anderson took photos of co-eds for the Harvard students' magazine, which features erotic writing and nude photography.

Editors there stressed that it is not pornographic.

"It is porno, and there's nothing wrong with that," Oleyourrik said.

In a statement, Boston University officials said that "the university does not endorse, nor welcome, the prospective publication, Boink; nor view its publication as a positive for the university."

"It's a free country. If she wants to do it fine," one student said.

"Aren't there better ways we can occupy ourselves than talking and writing about sex?" another student said.

The 96-page debut issue is planned for January. In the meantime, editors are already advertising on the Internet for models.
