Stafford authorities are investigating a 13-year-old girl's claims that her mother and others have been engaging in prostitution and sex parties in their Stafford home. According to an affidavit for a search warrant filed this week in Stafford Circuit Court, much of the alleged activities takes place while the girl is in her room within earshot.

The home is in an area off U.S. 1 between Aquia Harbour and the courthouse area. The exact address and the names of the suspects are not being printed because no one has been arrested.

However, court records show, Detective Don Lenhart has led a raid on the home and seized computers, a video camera and paperwork associated with a suspected escort service.

Lenhart is investigating a potential charge labeled as "keeping, residing in or frequenting a bawdy place."

The affidavit states that the investigation began last month when deputies went to the residence in response to a domestic dispute.

The girl told Deputy Ben Woodson that her mother was operating an Internet escort service from the house that she advertises on a Web site.

The service includes bringing women to the home and photographing them in various stages of undress, the affidavit states. In addition to setting up dates for the escorts, the girl said her mother does escort work herself.

Woodson relayed the information to Lenhart, who interviewed the girl at Stafford Middle School Nov. 21.

She told Lenhart that numerous women come to her home and perform sex acts in the living room. She said she often hears her mother directing sex acts and hears the mother's boyfriend having sex with the women.

The women are from the Washington area and are brought to the home by the boyfriend and another man, court records state.

The girl said she has seen sexually explicit pictures of her mother on the Internet and has seen contracts signed by women employed by her mother and the boyfriend.

Lenhart spoke to the mother on Nov. 27, but court records don't say what she told him. He spoke with the girl again on Dec. 7; this time she told the detective that her mother told her she is prostituting herself and others and giving the proceeds to her boyfriend.

Neighbors have told Lenhart they've seen women similar to those described by the girl come and go at the residence, but they don't know what goes on inside.
